About BrickPlay
Marisol Basilio, PhD
As an expert in child development and playful learning, Marisol brings her passion for hands-on education to life at BrickPlay. With years of experience leading children’s activities, she uses LEGO® play to develop creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.
Marisol’s research at the University of Cambridge led her to collaborate with teachers to test innovative and playful ways to use LEGO® as an educational resource. This research highlighted the power of play in fostering not only curriculum knowledge, but skills for lifelong learning.
At BrickPlay children and families have fun, and connect with their community through engaging, collaborative play sessions.
BrickPlay is a social enterprise with a mission to develop childrens' skills to be a positive and effective force in their world: creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, empathy, and leadership.
We began as a small LEGO® Club at a local primary school in Cambridge, where the joy and creativity we experienced inspired us to bring that same fun and learning to kids and families across the community.
